one of our favorite places to visit in washington is anacortes. we love getting lunch at gere-a-deli and having a picnic at washington park. it was a little rainy and chilly that day but we still enjoyed ourselves.
they have the weirdest little characters all over town, and this vine displays many of them. i love driving around town to see them all.
isn't deception pass gorgeous?! i love the green water. isaac and i attempted to walk across the bridge but got too scared and ran back to safety. you just feel like you are either going to fall off or get hit by a car. it is truly terrifying. also, my hair was a disaster because of the rain. a big, puffy disaster.
another favorite to visit is snowgoose produce! they make the best ice cream and waffle cones. plus one cone is enough to feed a family of four. isaac and i enjoyed the huckleberry immensely.
i'm not surprised at all the christmas trees come from washington. i wanted to take one home right then and there.
then we made our way to seattle!!!
we loved the historic little hotel we stayed it, the mayflower park hotel. our room was so charming!
we saw the seattle great wheel on our drive in and i had to go! after we checked into the hotel we booked our way over for a fun ride.
after our ride we walked around seattle a bit and then headed home to rest up for our big day exploring the city.
you guys, only one post left! i am so ashamed at how long it has taken me to post everything from our trip. a friend from work who i don't see very often asked me if i just got back from my trip and i was a little embarrassed to tell her it happened in may! i will never again get so behind. never. again.
i hope you have a lovely conference weekend! we are heading to our cabin for the last time this season to enjoy the leaves and listen to conference. we might freeze, but it will be worth it.
