last week kat had her wisdom teeth removed and i got to babysit this cutie while she had her surgery! he looked a little shocked when i walked in to get him up from his nap instead of his pretty mama, but luckily we're bffs so he was cool hanging out sippin' juice and watching disney junior. i love him so much. and kat coming home after her surgery all drugged up?! a memory i will hold near and dear to my heart. sooooo funny.
on friday my mom & i had a little day date that consisted to safe haven and in-n-out burger. i loved both. the movie felt a little long, but i'm such a sucker for nicholas sparks movies that i ate up every second. i went to see if i could check out the e-book for my ipad and i'm #264 on the waiting list. and my library only has 1 copy available...sooo maybe i should just buy it?! ha! i need a good romance novel thrown into my rotation every now and then. also, have you had the neapolitan shake at in-n-out?! they mix their vanilla, chocolate and strawberry {duh} and it's so good! i had no idea they did that, so thanks for that mom!
i worked nights all weekend and i was pretty bummed about it because i was missing out on some fun stuff {like a my book club brunch at communal! missed you girls!} but when i got to work friday night i remembered that they were bringing in cafe rio for us because we had the best joint commission survey ever! they are the people who accredit hospitals/health care organizations and my nurse friends know how stressful it is to have them come evaluate your unit/hospital. cafe rio was the perfect way to celebrate and made work infinitely better. because we all know in my world food makes everything better.
i'm going to bake up something st. patricky today! it's been a while since i've baked something new...so hopefully i'll have a yummy recipe to share later this week.

Joint Commission! Yuck! We had our survey in September and everyone was nuts! So glad that's over and glad ya'll did well! Pretty jealous of that food. We got no such love!

You and Tyler are kindred spirits! He loves the Neapolitan shakes at in-and-out AND he laughs hardcore when those AT&T commercials come on. Get's him every time. I just can't thank you enough for babysitting Jude for us. He loves you dearly. He probably would have cried if it had been anyone else. Sorry you had to witness me drugged. I'm glad it was a memory you hold dear... because it's a memory I don't have. You'll have to tell me the whole story some day.
