my 26th.

well you guys, birthday week is officially over.  it was so, so great - i have the best hubby/family/friends.  my actual birthday was amazing, isaac went all out and made me feel so special.  the day started with my favorite chocolates, an orchid {i've been wanting one for so long!}, and an electric air popcorn popper {i am obsessed with popcorn}.  then isaac took me to lunch and surprised me with an hour and a half massage!!!!  i was so happy, i needed one so badly.

after the massage we made a few stops to my favorite stores and we had dinner at the copper onion {of course - he took me there 2 years ago on my birthday and we've been celebrating all our special occasions there ever since}.  it was delicious as usual.  we had the deep fried maple bacon sundae for dessert and oh, my was it insane.  everything they make there is fabulous.  isaac planned to take me ice skating after dinner {a favorite birthday tradition} but it was so cold that we decided to see a movie instead.  we saw the silver linings playbook and both loved it.  so cute and funny.  i loved the dancing.  at the movie theater isaac even got in a photo booth with me!  if you know my hubby {who hates photos} you know this is a big deal.  i love the dorky photos.

the night ended with the biggest surprise of all!  a nike+ fuelband!  this is the description from the website: "through a sports-tested accelerometer, nike+ fuelband tracks your daily activity including running, walking, basketball, dancing and dozens of everyday activities. it tracks each step taken and calorie burned."  it syncs with an app on your phone or ipad and you can set daily goals, see your progress over time, and connect and compare with others who also have fuelbands.  i love it!  i have some fitness goals i really want to achieve this year and this is just the thing i need to keep me motivated and working hard.  i am very analytical and i love seeing the numbers and comparing them over time {very ocd}.

the rest of my birthday week was really great - i worked a crazy 3 days in a row and then finished off the week by celebrating with my best girlfriends over cafe rio and chick-fil-a milkshakes friday night after work.  on saturday we met up with some of our favorite couples for lunch at lone star taqueria.  it was our first time there and i loved it.  i can't wait to go back and have their chips and bean dip again!  yum.

best, best birthday week.  as you can see, i am a happy girl when i'm with my friends and family eating good food.  haha.  thank you to everyone who made it so special!!  26 is going to be a good year.

Oh, let us know how you like the fuelband. I'm looking into getting one. I've heard they are the greatest.
